There's clearly a huge knowledge gap there concerning how VST's work, and all the suggestions and solutions are missing the mark. I don't really know what else we can do for him. All in one thread this guy made me feel sorry for him, pissed me off, made me hate him for a minute, I thought he was a troll, then I thought he was just messing with us, then he was certain he was the victim of a conspiracy, then I wanted to help him again. Hopefully someone from XLN will read this thread and fix this. I may try again and maybe this thread will be useful to others but I have been at this since 5pm now it's 3:30 am.Īgain, if I wasted your time I'm sorry. I tried installing Sound Trek drums 30 day trial and it installs until it says toolbox.dll is mising So I uninstalled and reinstalled and the same thing happened. I'm really wondering if the actual drum plug in is really there? None of these files look like the plug in to me. I put both in with a semicolin like this C:/Program FilesXLN Audio\Addictive Drums\ C:/Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\ It still won't work. The installer is now showing this installation path C:/Program FilesXLN Audio\Addictive Drums\ AND C:/Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\ If my inpetitude wasted your time I sincerly apologize because you guys have been great. nothing happened so I clicked install again and it looks like it is installing something like it did the first time. I clicked uninstall on their installer and guess what. It may be worth $179 but I'm not buying it without evaluating it first.Īs near as I can tell the actual drum machine never downloaded but the intaller did and it gave paths but those folders were empty. It says to log in to download the free version but when you log in the icon disappears but the icon for the 179 dollar version remains. I tried uninstalling Addictive Drums and they are not in the uninstall list so I went to XLN forum while logged out and clicked the addictive drums download. I did that and the paths are there but I don't think the drums are there. Run the installer, click "Advanced", then select the "VST 64-Bit" or "VST 32-Bit" tabs to see where the dlls were installed.
